Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

Thursday 5 & Friday 6 December 2019 - at Halifax Hall Hotel in Sheffield

ASIST helps to build networks of trained caregivers who can support each and use common terminology to approach suicide and safety. By training caregivers at the University of Sheffield, it is hoped that ASIST will help reduce suicidal feelings in those students and staff at risk, and help staff to recognise warning signs and intervene in the interests of promoting a suicide safe community. Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognise when someone may have thoughts of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Accommodation, should you wish to stay, will be in Jonas Hotel. For further information, please follow the link below:-
