In 2023, CUBO and GSL collaborated on a new report using GSL's large data source to give a high-level overview of the PBSA and university sector, with a focus on the experience of international students. In this round table, CUBO members and partners will gain deeper insight into the findings. This is particularly valuable for members who were not able to attend CUBO Summer Conference in Glasgow.
Future proof: Meeting the diverse needs of international students is a new cross-sector, cross-country report into student feedback on their accommodation. It looks at the overall student accommodation picture in Spring 2023, including differences between university and private halls and between university mission groups. It then explores the accommodation experience of the three largest international student cohorts studying in the UK and Ireland: those from China, India and Nigeria.
Finally it considers what action universities could take to improve international student satisfaction with accommodation.
