Supporting careers in commercial and campus services
Supporting careers in commercial and campus services
Underpinning everything we do for the learning and development of CUBO members is a strategy to:
Develop a systematic and sustainable approach to learning and development that allows people to access a range of quality learning opportunities;
Inspire and motivate members to engage and enhance their level of performance to achieve higher;
Encourage senior and experienced members to ‘give back’ to the membership by supporting the professional development and resilience of the next generation;
Provide Learning and Development opportunities throughout a member’s career;
Work in conjunction with the CUBO EDI Strategy to build a skilled, engaged and diverse campus and commercial workforce, investing in staff development and strengthening our members’ capacity to deliver excellence in campus life, campus services and the student experience.
Training
Our short courses develop and update knowledge and skills in campus services leadership, student accommodation, university catering, conferencing, marketing and other areas. They are discounted for CUBO members and corporate partners, and also open to non-members.
Our Mentoring Scheme for CUBO members improves leadership capability, shares best practice and supports the career development of professionals working in HE commercial and campus services.
Members can also update their knowledge and skills and access best practice through our regional and special interest groups and regular online round tables.
