Campus and commercial services are vital to university and college life. Our members are responsible for the strategic and operational management of student residential accommodation and residence life programmes; catering, hospitality &retail; sport & physical activity; academic & commercial conferencing; events, including graduations; print, design & merchandising, soft facilities management, and various other services. They may run hotels, arts centres, nurseries and even the university’s digital services. By connecting, supporting and developing these professionals, CUBO helps to create excellent campus experiences for all. CUBO also administers the UUK/GuildHE Accommodation Code of Practice for university owned and managed student residences.
There’s just over a week to get your entries in for this year’s Reslife Awards. Six outstanding students working in residence life will win a Residence Life Stars trophy and place at the CUBO Residence Life Conference in May 2024 and one exceptional residence life professional will be named the CUBO & Acuho-I New Residence Life Professional of the Year, winning a trophy and place at the 2024 Acuho-I Conference, funded up to $3,000. The winners will be announced on 15 May during the CUBO Residence Life Conference at The University of Nottingham.
CUBO is the administrative home of the UUK/GuildHE Accommodation Code of Practice (ACoP) for University owned/managed accommodation.

The 2023 CUBO Awards took place on 6th July at the University of Glasgow. The Awards showcase best practice in university commercial and campus services, across the full range of activity dedicated to delivering excellent student and campus experiences.
