Black History Month Networking Celebration

Building Black Futures in Higher Education & Early Careers

The Living Black at University Commission is hosting an inclusive, intersectional networking event in London on Wednesday 15th October, to celebrate and reflect on Black History Month.

This event will explore how Black students and professionals can thrive at the intersection of education, identity, and career development. It will center joy, ambition, and connection — while launching two key initiatives focused on inclusion and progression.

This free half-day event is open to all Black-heritage university students and staff, Black professionals from across the student accommodation sector, and allies committed to anti-racist practice in higher education and recruitment.

The programme will include:

  • Networking with students and staff committed to supporting anti-racist practice
  • The launch of a brand new recruitment guide and CUBO Black Professionals Network
  • Workshops on black inclusion
  • A panel discussion on reimagining black early careers
