Joining a group with a focus on your professional area keeps your skills and knowledge right up-to-date. Our sub-groups network and learn with their direct peers at other member universities. They are open to CUBO members and their staff. Meeting space and catering are provided by CUBO, with attendees paying travel and accommodation only.
Launched in 2014, the CUBO Marketing Group has over 50 active members: marketing professionals working in commercial and campus services at CUBO member institutions. The group meets twice a year for a day of networking and professional development. Recent topics include GDPR and promoting sustainability initiatives on campus.
The Marketing Group next meets at the University of York on 2 April 2019. Registration is via our online Marketing Sub Group. To join the subgroup, contact Claire Furnival.
The Finance Group is open to finance professionals in the student, commercial, sport and nursery sectors within CUBO member universities. They meet at least once a year to network and keep up-to-date with topical financial issues. Recent examples are managing the challenges of PCI DSS, GDPR and implementing a new accommodation system.NEXT MEETING:
