Kirsty Woodward appointed CUBO Vice Chair

26 September 2019      Scott Murdoch, ICT Support Officer

Kirsty Woodward, Director of Campus Services at the University of Leicester, has been appointed to the role of CUBO Vice Chair.

Kirsty will retain strategic responsibility for CUBO conferences until June 2020, when she will become Chair Elect as Jo Hardman, Director of Commercial Services at Lancaster University, steps up to become CUBO Chair.

Kirsty joined the University of Leicester nine years ago after working as a senior project manager for Russell Partnerships. Prior to that, Kirsty spent 10 years as Head of Catering at the University of Warwick and three years in hotel general management.

Current CUBO Chair, Gillian Almond, Director of Commercial Services at Royal Holloway, University of London, commented: "We are delighted that Kirsty is taking on the role of Vice Chair at this exciting time in CUBO's development. Her impact on joining the Board earlier this year was immediate and by taking on the Vice Chair role, we can ensure a seamless succession in the association's leadership."

Kirsty commented: "I'm really pleased to accept the Vice Chair position. Sector organisations such as CUBO are fundamental in providing excellent forums for peer support and in shaping the way we view our sector. For me, being part of the CUBO Board, particularly with the conference portfolio, allows me to play a key role in facilitating those networking opportunities, ensuring that CUBO members have strong environments for both sharing and learning."
